Art is for everyone, whether you’re extremely good or not. Most of the time art is often seen as something for “creative” people, or people who have way to much time on their hands. But in all reality it’s not. , Art is more than just being creative or talented. Art has been proven to relieve stress.  According to Cleveland Clinic Wellness, “The average person has around 60,000 thoughts a day. 95% of them are the same repeated thought, but 80% of them are negative,”Art can be used as a tool to help relieve stress and anxiety , it’s known to be calming and it helps your brain stay focused on one thing instead of having a million things going on in your brain at once.

“ Art enhances problem solving skills” (Education Research) Not only is art therapeutic but it helps you solve problems and learn ways to utilize the skills you have. You may not be a Pablo Picasso but you are human just like him , which means you are physically capable of giving it a shot and going for it. Art doesn’t have to be pretty or neat. It’s meant to express emotions and make you feel something.  Jackson Pollock (source) once said, “ I have no fear of making changes, destroying the image, etc, because the painting has a life of its own.” So don’t let your fears or self doubt get to you just go for it.
