Track Updates

Tuesday, March 26 was the first track meet of the year. It was located at JFK
Stadium which is Parkview’s track. Six schools attended the meet, but Hillcrest only
competed against Glendale and Parkview. The top results for the men in the 100
meter dash starts with Jacob Sausen ending the race at 12.66a and Noah Crampton
at 13.00a. Jacob Sausen also got the leading time in the 200 meter dash of 26.06a.
The 400 meter dash was led by Brendan Weaver with a time of 54.41a. Following
was Samson Cochran with 58.10a. The leading 4×100 relays team was Dwayne
Andrews, Brendan Weaver, Gunnar Brooks, and Samson Cochran with a
finishing time of 47.75a. The top results for the women will start with the 100 meter
dash.
Daciyah Maina had the best time of 14.82a and Ashlyn VanHorn with the second
best of 14.87a. Aurhiana Jackson had the best time in the 200 meter with a time of
31.35a. The top 800 meter results were Kana Shimoyama with a time of 3:16.17a
and Hailey McCartney’s time is 3:21.52a. Now, the best times for long jump.
Women's long jump leads with Jolene Tidwell with a jump of 13-10.25 and Siriana
Burgess at 13-03.50. Men's long jump is led by Trent Duncan with a jump at 19-
06.00 and Dwayne Andrews at 14-00.00. Those were the best times at Hillcrest in
some of the main events that took place at the very first track meet this year.
