The new movie Hocus Pocus 2 written by Jen D’Angelo and produced by Walt Disney Studios. Hocus Pocus 2 is an amazing movie for those who liked the original Hocus Pocus will love Hocus Pocus 2. Hocus Pocus 2 has a wonderful plot although it doesn’t really correspond much with the original Hocus Pocus movie. On September, 30th 2022,  Hocus Pocus 2 was released onto Disney Plus. Just by looking at the cover of the movie, it looks even better than the original. Finally, after 28 years, they made another part of Hocus Pocus. 

The base plot of this movie is good. So basically The Sanderson Sisters are resurrected, and three teenagers try to stop them, Winifred and Mary look the same as they did in the first one unlike Sarah. Sarah looks a little different then she did in the first movie. This movie stars Bette Miller, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy. Hocus Pocus 2 got a 63% on rotten tomatoes but it is better than that.

I thought the movie was like a musical/comedy but not animated. The movie is in theaters as of right now because of how new it is. Another positive point is that the movie is well filmed. The movie has great audio, sound effects, lighting and visual effects. One other positive thing about Hocus Pocus 2 is that it has a lot of unexpected parts.

Throughout the movie there were still some downfalls. The number one downfall for me was that it took like 20-30 minutes of the movie for anything exciting or dramatic to happen. In most movies, there is a long period of time before anything exciting happens, but I just thought this one was very long. Another thing I didn’t really like is how it started with Winifred, Mary and Sarah as kids. I thought it would make more sense to show us that in the first one, so we knew how it all started before the second movie. 

 Hocus Pocus 2 did have some downfalls but overall it is a good movie. This movie stars the three witches Winnifred, Sarah and Mary. There are lots of good points and some bad, but the public could see Hocus Pocus 2 either way. You can watch Hocus Pocus 2 on Disney Plus starting September 30, 2022.
