Twinkie Flavors Revealed

Twinkie Flavors Revealed

Katie Randall, Reporter

There are a multitude of Twinkie flavors. With a total of 17 different flavors, here are some of my favorites: Regular banana Twinkie, Chocolate peanut butter Twinkies, Red white and blue Twinkies, and finally the ogre green creamy Twinkie.

In the 1930s, a man named Jimmy Dewer created Twinkies in River Forest, Illinois. He named them after the Twinkle Toe Shoes. The original intended flavor was banana filling. In 2001, fried twinkies first appeared.

The 33-year-old had started his career as the driver of a horse-drawn wagon delivering pound cakes. Dewer rose to a management post, so he was ready to solve this sweet riddle. As he later explained, “The economy was getting tight, and the company needed to come out with another low-priced item.I thought of a two-to-a-pack item for a nickel.”

There aren’t many bad things about these flavorful sponges. Personally, I believe it cures sadness, and is a great snack for movies and car rides. There are so many ways to use twinkies like frying them and baking them into a cake.

To conclude this, just get Twinkies! They are worth the money and worth eating.   Hostess Banana Twinkies, Hostess Chocodiles, Hostess Chocolate Cake Twinkies, Hostess Chocolate Creme Twinkies, Hostess Chocolate Peanut Butter Twinkies, Hostess Mixed Berry Twinkies, Hostess Peppermint Twinkies, Hostess Pumpkin Spice Twinkies, Hostess Strawberry & Creme Twinkies, Hostess Twinkies Cotton Candy, Hostess Twinkies Lemonade Stand, Hostess Twinkies Mint Chocolate, Hostess Twinkies Ogre Green Creamy Filling, Hostess Twinkies Orange Crème Pop, Hostess Twinkies Red, White & Blue!, Hostess White Peppermint Twinkies, Post Hostess Twinkies Cereal.
