The Dynamic Duo Strikes Again – Haikyuu

The Dynamic Duo Strikes Again - Haikyuu

Haikyuu is an outstanding anime show written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate. Haikyuu takes place in Northern Japan, and you can watch the first 4 seasons on Netflix, and the rest of the seasons on Crunchyroll.

Haikyuu is about a volleyball team and how they work together to form an amazing partnership. Two of the characters really stand out as a fascinating dynamic duo. Their names are Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama. These two very diverse characters have an incredible bond and are known for it. They have an amazing bond, because Kageyama is a great setter and Hinata is a great spiker. In volleyball, the setter sets the ball up for the spiker to hit, which means that their strengths go together very well. When Kageyama and Hinata first met, they were enemies on different sides of the court and on different teams, but even though they met as enemies, they worked hard and became the dynamic duo they are today. The rest of the team is also very talented because they can work together in a way a lot of the other teams can’t. They all grew as individuals since they first met, and they helped each other get to where they are now.

Haikyuu is one of the best anime shows I have ever watched. The show focuses on how the characters changed individually, and also how they changed each other, which I like. I think the plot is interesting because of how the writers laid everything out. The characters each changed, because they became more of a team instead of being separate. I like how they did this, because it shows the progress of each character and how they become better people for the team. I also think the plot is interesting, because the writers go in depth with what is happening and how the characters are feeling. They also make it easy to understand the rules of volleyball, which helps people better grasp what is going on and what to think about while watching the show.

A downside to Haikyuu is that it gets boring after a while. This is because there isn’t enough conflict in it. In every episode it feels like the same things happen. The main volleyball team, Karasuno, loses or wins, and each of the characters overcome that loss, or the team becomes better when they win.  This happens almost every episode. I feel that the writers could have added more conflict, and it would have made the show much better overall. Another downside is that it takes a while to get going. It starts off slow in the beginning, which can make people not want to finish it. The storyline doesn’t get going until midway through the first season. I believe that the writers could have sped up the plot, and it would be more exciting to watch.

Haikyuu is definitely one of my top 10 favorite anime shows. The plot can be a bit boring, but once you watch more of it, it gets more interesting. The writers focus more on the characters’ feelings and their personalities, so if you like that type of show, you will definitely like Haikyuu.
