Review On The Salted Caramel Java Monster

Jack Daugherty, Reporter

When I first tried the Salted Caramel Monster, it was exquisite. When I first opened the can it was a smell that came from the heavens of coffee. This Monster is full of nutrients and plenty of caffeine to start your day. And when I say it started my day, it really did start my day.

I am now comparing the Salted Caramel Java Monster to the Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew from Starbucks. I really liked how the Salted Caramel Cold Brew I liked how it tasted at first. But while the flavor was good, the after taste was not very good at all. I am going to be brutally honest with this and say that the after taste is what ruined the drink. Now with the Salted Caramel Monster. The taste was similar, but when it comes to the after taste, or the overall taste, the Monster won it by a lot.

The Monster had more of a coffee flavor than the Starbucks coffee and the Starbucks coffee tasted more syrupy than the Monster. The Monster tasted more natural than the Starbucks. The Monster also had a more refreshing taste than the Starbucks coffee, and I felt more energized drinking a Monster than a caffeine filled coffee.

The cost of the drinks also play a big part. The Salted Caramel Monster comes in at a low price of $1.99 for a 16oz. While the Salted Caramel Cold Brew from Starbucks starts at $3.95 for a Tall. Which is 12oz.

The drink ingredients are, “Brewed Coffee (Filtered Water, Coffee), Whole Milk, Skim Milk, Sugar, Glucose, Taurine, Sodium Citrate, Panax Ginseng Extract, Salt, Natural Flavors, Ascorbic Acid (Vit. C), Monoglycerides, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Maltodextrin, Guar Gum, Caffeine, Caramelized Sugar Syrup, Sucralose, Niacinamide (Vit. B3), Carrageenan, Cellulose Gum, Inositol, D-Glucuronolactone, Guarana Extract, L-Carnitine L-Tartrate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vit. B6), Riboflavin (Vit. B2).” The most important ingredients of this drink are the L-Carnitine and L-Tartrate. These ingredients give you the energy you need within every energy drink, but enough about all the nutrition stuff.

To end with this quick little review I’m gonna give you my final opinion on the drink. Give it a try and see if you like it. If you don’t it’s okay. But i’m just saying I think anyone that likes coffee would like this drink a lot.
